Life is a highway! This summer Disney-Pixar’s “Cars 3” will hit theaters but before that it is hitting the road and you can be a part of it. The first stop was in Orlando at Disney Springs and then they headed down here to sunny Miami. That is where we come in. For the last couple of months our 2 year old son has been falling head over heels for anything on 4 wheels and with an engine that goes vroom. It doesn’t surprise me since his dad (Me) is a total gear head as well as a movie and arts nut so it’s natural for the apple not to fall from the tree. Honestly it is just a joy to see his face light up as he begins to recognize these characters he sees in books and TV in real life. As parents we live for this and we try to soak it up as much as we can.
Enter Lightning McQueen and the Disney-Pixar film “Cars” which he saw for the first time not too long ago and just like that he had a buddy to add to his trucks and train collection! “Cam” he calls them and he loves playing with them as he mimics the sound of the engine. When we found out that we were going to have the chance to see McQueen and the 2 new characters live and in person we had to go!
A wonderful experience for our little one and for ourselves. As huge Disney-Pixar’s fans it was also fantastic to see what they have done here to promote the new film. In true race car style you will walk in to see the McQueen, Jackson Storm and Cruz Ramirez behind huge Semi tractor trailer. There are fun activities for the kids from Nascar, Alamo Rent a Car amid others who have little booths around the designated area. The big surprise for us was getting to see a nice sneak peek of the film in an air conditioned tractor trailer transformed into a nice and cozy movie theatre!

From this moment, everything will change.
Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 opens in US theatres in 3D June 16, 2017.
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez, with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!
Cars 3 is directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist “Cars,” “Cars 2“) and produced by Kevin Reher (“A Bug’s Life,” “La Luna” short).
